Recensione CCA CKX – Un altro buon IEM ricco di driver ibridi 7

Il verdetto CCA CKX è in.

Ci sono giorni in cui mi chiedo se i team di KZ e CCA abbiano obiettivi di consegna del prodotto che richiedono loro di distribuire più unità IEM di driver a meno di $ 100 ogni anno. Personalmente, sono pronto. Adoro ascoltare i nuovi IEM ed è sempre interessante vedere cosa hanno fatto gli ingegneri con le nuove unità e come hanno giocato con l'accordatura.

I CCA CKX sono probabilmente il nuovo concorrente più vicino al KZ Zax. Entrambi sono IEM con driver ibridi negli IEM nella fascia di prezzo di $ 100 ed entrambi sono venduti al dettaglio da Linsoul, Shenzhen Audio e altri. Il CCA C12 ha già fatto alcune delle nostre liste come un ottimo tuttofare, ma il CKX è migliore?

Quindi, cosa vale la pena commentare con questo nuovo IEM ibrido a 7 driver di CCA?

Per prima cosa esaminiamo le specifiche tecniche del CKX:

Firma sonora. Come suonano?

Quindi, puoi già vedere che ci sono 6 driver BA focalizzati su consegne di frequenze diverse. Il 30095 concentrati sulla fascia alta e sul 30017 concentrarsi sulle frequenze medie e medio-alte. Il driver dinamico mira a riempire i bassi e le frequenze medie mancanti rimanenti.

Sento che forse avrei preferito una configurazione 1 x 3 x 2 x 1. Dove c'era un driver BA che aiutava con i bassi e i medi per arrotondare un po' meglio. Anche se ho una forma a V leggermente scolpita, trovo di volere un po' più di fondo.

Mi piacerebbe anche spingere un po' di più i medi. Ci sono parti in cui sembra che ci sia un filtro di compressione o un noise-gate che trattiene un po' il suono grezzo, trattenendo alcune delle frequenze che vorrei far uscire. Soprattutto sulle tracce di chitarra elettrica. Le voci risaltano bene e suonano bene ma, ancora una volta, un piccolo aiuto a volte.

Sembrava tutto un po' negativo, ma sarebbe troppo facile dire semplicemente "suonano bene". Lo fanno, ma se rilasci così tanti IEM, mi aspetto che un feedback non vada mai male.

Nel complesso, non c'è niente di cui lamentarsi qui. Suonano bene.

Ho suonato un po' di NF, per vedere se il basso era davvero abbastanza incisivo e abbastanza profondo da farmelo sentire. Ho sperimentato alcuni Troppo vicini al tocco per chitarre. Kodaline per il mezzo della strada oltre ad alcuni X-Ambassador. Dermot Kennedy per un po' di voce e un po' di sottofondo pop.

Forse la mia adrenalina era un po' bassa, ma mentre mi sono davvero divertito ad ascoltare il CKX non ho avuto le "sensazioni". Come i lettori abituali sapranno da me, credo che tu debba sentire la musica per farne valere la pena.

C'è un genere che senterà proprio con questi, semplicemente non l'ho scoperto per me personalmente. Ciò non significa che non lo farai o che queste non siano una buona scelta. Penso che suonino davvero alla grande, ma mi piacciono davvero alcuni medi in più. Questi sono puliti che piaceranno davvero a molte persone.

Sono puliti come la colonna sonora di un film al cinema. Ordinato e divertente ma non "disordinato e vivo".

Il ambiente sonoro generale è davvero bello. La separazione della strumentazione è buona e il posizionamento nell'esperienza di ascolto è davvero impressionante a questo prezzo. Odio dirlo, ma per un momento o due avrei potuto essere indotto a credere che stavo ascoltando un paio di cuffie aperte sul retro, a volte era così bello.

Qualità costruttiva

La scatola al dettaglio va bene. It’s a box so who really cares, right? There is no case so that keeps the cost down. I haven’t found any other sets of ear tips either yet, seems odd so I’ll return the box to explore if I missed something.

The build of the earbuds was a real surprise to me, and I’m rarely surprised. The earbuds are small, like…really small for a 6 BA + 1 Dynamic hybrid IEM. If you have small ears you should find these quite refreshing. I have always found the SE215 from Shure a good small ear IEM but these are probaby even better.

They are solid, refined and feel as weighty and expensive as a set of Sennheiser IE800s IMO.

The cable is…the most ‘affordable’ element of the kit. It’s a little too stiff but the length is perfect for audio listening (not stage work or live monitoring) and the braiding is nice enough.

The main thing about the cable is that it can be replaced with another 2-Pin cable easily enough.

So, the main part of this experience is the earbud/IEM itself and that gets a big tick from me.

Comfort?

These are good enough. I felt like I had to push the tips in a little harder than I wanted to but once they were seated they were fine.

My biggest complain with these affordable IEMs is that the cable doesn’t come with a tensioner on it. This allows you to run the cable down your back (where it’s meant to go with IEMs) and tighten up the cables going to ear earbud.

This helps secure the earbuds or IEM themselves in your ear and makes for much better comfort.

At times I’ll use a rubber band that I loop over and over and then use that to tighten the cable behind my head/base of my neck.

They are so small it’s weird having an IEM that doesn’t settle in to the concha of your ear but, you’ll get used to it.

Riepilogo

So – the usual things seem to apply here, as they do to so many sub $100 IEMs from CCA/KZ and anything sold from Linsoul or Shenzhen Audio.

They:

1. Are affordable
2. Are well made, especially for the price
3. Sound good
4. Have basic accessories, but that’s OK
5. Make for good listening but live use would be a second thought – these are best suited to audio listening first and foremost
6. Sound isolation is good
7. Are comfortable

My use of the word good is to give anyone who is considering a purchase the confidence that it would not be wasted money. Even if the V tuning and clean presentation isn’t the most exciting, you’ll still enjoy them.

If these are your first foray in to the affordable IEM market then you’ll have little to compare to and will still sound better than most other ‘bundled’ earphones you’ve owned.
