I marchi Hi-Fi più antichi sul mercato
Più invecchi, più saggio e determinato diventi. Ciò è particolarmente vero quando si tratta della configurazione dell'home entertainment.
Sia che tu stia utilizzando gli stessi componenti per decenni o che tu sia semplicemente riluttante a cambiare, ci sono molte ragioni per cui le persone mantengono le loro vecchie apparecchiature, in particolare gli altoparlanti hi-fi.
Ma cosa succede se sei alla ricerca di un nuovo sistema di altoparlanti hi-fi? Come fai a sapere quali dei più vecchi si sono adattati al nuovo mercato e quali no? Tutti i marchi si evolvono come Canon o alcuni non sono all'altezza dei nuovi modi come ha fatto Kodak quando si sono evolute le fotocamere?
Adoravo i sistemi di altoparlanti hi-fi degli anni '70. Riempirebbero una stanza di suono e potevi sentire i bassi nel tuo petto. Ma quando mi sono trasferita nel mio primo appartamento, ho dovuto rinunciare al mio amato sistema perché era semplicemente troppo grande e ingombrante (cosa che ora mi dispiace molto, a dire il vero – non dimentichi mai il tuo primo!).
Così, ho iniziato a cercare un nuovo sistema che si adattasse al mio spazio più piccolo ma che fornisse comunque lo stesso grande suono. Ho imparato subito che il mercato era cambiato molto negli anni successivi e che molti dei marchi che amavo da bambino non esistevano più.
Quindi, quali marche dovresti considerare per il tuo nuovo sistema di altoparlanti hi-fi? Ecco alcuni dei miei vecchi preferiti che si sono evoluti in modo impeccabile con i tempi:
I marchi Hi-Fi più antichi sul mercato
JBL (1946)
JBL è vecchia scuola ma è ancora considerata un'azienda relativamente più recente rispetto a artisti del calibro di Thorens e Yamaha.
L'azienda è stata fondata da James Bullough Lansing nel 1946, che ha anche inventato il moderno diffusore "party". JBL è noto per la sua eccezionale qualità del suono e offre un'ampia gamma di prodotti a prezzi diversi.
Ho usato diversi altoparlanti JBL nella mia vita e non sono mai stato deluso. Uno dei preferiti nella loro lista è il JBL LSR305, che è un'ottima opzione per chi cerca un monitor da studio entry-level economico.
Tuttavia, quando si tratta di sistemi di altoparlanti hi-fi, JBL potrebbe non essere la scelta migliore. Personalmente, ho scoperto che i dispositivi JBL hanno un design un po' troppo brillante e non durano quanto i loro concorrenti.
Ora, non sto dicendo che JBL sia una cattiva compagnia. In effetti, penso che facciano degli ottimi prodotti. Tuttavia, non li consiglierei a chiunque cerchi un sistema di altoparlanti hi-fi di lunga durata. Sono più adatti per altoparlanti portatili di alta qualità o per quelle varianti tascabili.
Thorens (1883)
Thorens è una delle aziende più antiche di questo elenco, essendo stata fondata nel lontano 1883. L'azienda è nota soprattutto per i suoi giradischi, che sono ancora considerati tra i migliori del settore.
Thorens produce anche un'ampia gamma di altri prodotti audio, inclusi sistemi Hi-Fi per ambienti irregolari, altoparlanti per auto e sistemi per concerti.
Anche se Thorens potrebbe non essere famoso come alcuni degli altri marchi in questo elenco, sono sicuramente ottimi prodotti in termini di qualità e personalizzazione.
Ho posseduto un giradischi Thorens TD160 per molti anni e mi permette di fare qualsiasi cosa Lo voglio – non mi ha mai deluso. La qualità del suono è impeccabile e ha un aspetto classico che non passerà mai di moda. E, naturalmente, anche il sistema è abbastanza robusto.
In effetti, un sistema Thoren è ciò che mi ha avviato nel mio viaggio alla scoperta dei marchi Hi-Fi della vecchia scuola. Dopo aver fatto alcune ricerche, ho scoperto che Thorens è un'azienda tedesca con una lunga storia nella produzione di prodotti audio di alta qualità. Sono stato subito catturato e da allora sono un fan di Thorens.
Yamaha (1887)
Yamaha, più tradizionalmente nota per le sue moto, è un'altra azienda della vecchia scuola che esiste da oltre un secolo.
L'azienda è stata fondata nel 1887 e da allora è diventata un nome familiare. Yamaha ha una vasta gamma di strumenti musicali premium, altoparlanti tradizionali, amplificatori e, soprattutto, sistemi di altoparlanti hi-fi per soddisfare quasi tutti gli audiofili come me!
Ho usato altoparlanti Yamaha in passato e sono sempre rimasto colpito dalla loro qualità del suono e robustezza. Questi diffusori possono letteralmente assumere qualsiasi forma di abuso e rimanere ancora in piedi per gli anni a venire (non che io ne raccomandi un uso improprio).
Tuttavia, ho scoperto che i prodotti Yamaha sono spesso piuttosto costosi. C'è da aspettarselo, tuttavia, dato che Yamaha è un marchio premium.
Quando scegli gli altoparlanti Yamaha, paghi per la qualità. Se hai il budget per questo, consiglierei sicuramente gli altoparlanti Yamaha, soprattutto se ascolti musica hi-fi ad alto volume o ti ritrovi incapace di prenderti cura del tuo sistema di altoparlanti.
Bowers &Wilkins (1966)
Bowers &Wilkins è un'azienda relativamente nuova, essendo stata fondata nel 1966. L'azienda è nota soprattutto per i suoi prodotti audio per la casa, le cuffie e gli Zeppelin altoparlanti portatili. Non si può negare che a prima vista, gli altoparlanti e le cuffie Bowers e Wilkins hanno una classe a parte.
La mia esperienza con i diffusori Bowers &Wilkins è stata mista. Ho usato molti dei loro prodotti nel corso degli anni e ho scoperto che alcuni sono fantastici mentre altri non lo sono così tanto.

I have used both brands, and I have found that they both work well. However, I prefer the Bowers and Wilkins headphones because they are more comfortable and have a better design. In fact, my go-to headphones for hi-fi music needs outdoors are the Bowers and Wilkins PX !
Bose (1964)
Class, sophistication, style, and utility, Bose is a company that has boasted all of these things (albeit at a relatively high cost) throughout its long history.
Since 1964, its goal has been to bring hi-fi audio equipment, or the closest possible experience, to the general public, blending high fidelity and high utility in its pieces.
Bose has a premium touch and feels unlike any other brand in the market, especially with its headphones. The speaker systems are widely used for larger areas such as living rooms, garages, concerts, and even in large religious buildings.
Take Mecca or Vatican City, for instance. I was very surprised (and quite frankly, proud) when I saw that even these places have Bose speaker systems!
I have used Bose products for many years, and I have always been impressed with their quality. The company is always at the forefront of audio technology, and its products are always top-of-the-line. While Bose products are often quite expensive, you definitely get what you pay for. When it comes to sound quality,
Bose has always been in a league of its own. I would recommend this brand and Bowers &Wilkins wholeheartedly for people starting their audiophile journey. Yamaha, on the other hand, is more suited for people who already have a foot in the water and know what they are buying.
Harman Kardon (1953)
Harman Kardon is another company with a long history in the audio industry. The company was founded in 1953 and is best known for its hi-fi car audio products. I have used Harman Kardon speakers in the past, and I have always been impressed with their sound quality in the car.
There are countless options available, ranging from entry-level to high-end, but in my experience, they sound much better in a car than in a room, even with the right acoustics or with the help of an audio engineer. While their products are often quite expensive, you definitely get what you pay for.
I am, unfortunately, not convinced with Harman Kardon’s home theater offerings. I have tried several of their products, and while they sounded good, they were not good enough for me to justify the price tag.
Other Options
Other old hi-fi brands in the market you can consider include:

- Pioneer (1938)
- Onkyo (1946)
- Technics (1965)
- Sony (1946)
Some, like Bose, Yamaha, and Sony, have adapted to the changing times and are still going strong.
On the other hand, Sony has a plethora of products to offer and has been around for so long that it is able to weather any storm with relatively similar equipment. However, Sony may not always be the best brand choice for hi-fi speaker systems. In recent years, they’ve been overshadowed by the competition, especially for hi-fi speaker systems.
But if you’re looking for a classic speaker system (not high fidelity) that’s sure to stand the test of time, Sony is still a great option.
The above-mentioned are all tried and true brands that have been around for decades, and they all make great Hi-Fi systems!
